Earlier in his career Bob Taylor, the President of US-K9 had the amazing fortune to have spent some years as a Los Angeles Police Officer, and then an Animal Control Officer with the City of Long Beach. It was a starting point for him, because it was there, working as a Public Officer where his life took focus, and his direction has stayed consistent since. He admittedly owes a great deal to these experiences. They gave him a foundation which he used to create a wonderful life, and, in the process, enrich and save the lives of thousands of dogs, and their counterpart handler/owners.
Shortly after starting his own business he graduated from some of the top Accredited Schools of Dog Training in the WORLD, both here in America, as well as throughout Europe. He also has completed a College Education at Long Beach State University, and gained a College Education in the fields of:

In October “Bob Taylor was recognized as the Humanitarian of the Year, by the Journal of Longevity Magazine, representing the Nations largest Medical Marketing firms, for his work with the American Disabled Community. Bob is Instrumental in creating The DOGWISH Foundation, a 501c(e) Non-Profit Corporation, Licensed by the IRS and the State of California, where he is Licensed with the Department of Rehabilitation. His work training Service Assistance K9s for the disabled community is receiving World-wide acclaim. He has greatly furthered the fields of K9 work for people stricken with all types of disabilities, and our website is posted on the front page of every national disability organization.
He became a Multi National Police Dog Sport (Schutzhund) Champion in the fields of Tracking, Obedience, and Protection. Schutzhund, originating in Germany, quickly became the International test for a proper Police K9. Many Counties in America still require this title on all their Police service k9s. Bob also placed first at the National Master Tracking Championships (FH) several times. He and his wife have qualified to represent the German Shepherd Dog Club of America at the World Schutzhund Championships 12 times, by placing in the top five scoring dog teams in the nation out of hundreds of competitors, (more than any other married couple in history), where out of some 10,000,000 active participants, they placed in the top 25 in the world several times, and received the highest scores for a female shepherd of anyone in the world in the Belgium World Championships with their dog “Assa Von Der Shaffeback Mulle” (Assa from the hut where the sheep eat). Bob was instrumental in training two (2) WORLD MEISTER International Police World Championship first place K9s. He owned both dogs. Many times they took 1rst, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place at the National Championship in two out of three organizations that are available to compete for Schutzhund in throughout America. In doing so Bob and Marla Taylor were honored with “Outstanding Achievement” Award from the German Shepherd Dog Club of America for “Contributing to the German Shepherd Breed” of dog in America.
Through his International Police dog sports competitive efforts and his numerous trips to Europe to compete, representing America, he also attended several Schools for Police, Customs, and diversified K9 work in Germany, Austria, Belgium, and France, where he graduated, earning Certification as an Instructor. His expertise as a Master Tracking and Detection dog trainer is undisputed. He has since trained numerous Police K9 dogs for use in America and throughout the International Community.
During the past three years he has been in contact with Stephen Anthony, Asia’s top dog trainer, who has trained and placed over 300 Police Patrol and Detection K9s. Stephen graduated from the Port Royal US Customs School, and served as a trainer and handler of Narcotics and Explosives Detections K9s with US Customs for over 8 years. He then went on to form his own School of K9 training in Asia, and has earned a reputation for himself over the past 15 years, training and placing hundreds of Police K9s there. He recently trained 4 K9s for the Las Vegas area for Narcotics, Explosives, Cadaver, and Police Patrol. He now is a member of the USK9 Academy in Phelan California, and works training K9s with us.
Bob Taylor, because of his Police and Animal Control background, and his desire to upgrade the K9 community Bob, became involved as the Orange County Behaviorist in the 80s, and assisted in writing their Dangerous Dog Laws. Bob, because of his education has developed his own Canine Psychology, written 4 books on Dog Training and Psychology, and worked as a Superior Court Canine Expert throughout California, the Nation, Europe, and Asia, for the past 21 years. He has trained over 1,000 “dangerous dogs”, many that had “Superior Court” judgments against them, and in almost every case has been successful in transforming their behaviors from disturbed and psychotic into those accepted as normal and correct. He also has done great work with emotionally disturbed and nuisance dogs as well, and has been retained by different Nations, private businesses, and hundreds of satisfied clients for his “lifetime guaranteed” training with their dogs.

We train our dogs according to “the letter of the law”. As a result we have NEVER had a single owner or handler sued, out of the 1,000s of dogs we have placed, because of mis-conduct from any dog we’ve ever trained.
